The republic of Iceland covers an area of about 10.300 square kilometers. After the United Kingdom it is the second largest island state of Europe and the biggest vulcan island of the world. It is situated in the north of the atlantic, close to the northern polar circle and two and a half flight hours away from Frankfurt.
